Red blood cells in the bone marrow do have a nucleus. These cells, known as nucleated red cells, may be seen in the peripheral circulation as a result of anemia or hemorrhage.
When these cells are seen on blood smears, the leukocyte count must be corrected for their presence.

Hi. Sorry for taking so long to reply to your posting - Thank you for the corrections to my article. I was aware of the new blodd cells having a necleus, but i was going to leave it out for simplicity (goodness knows, we could use some) but I may incorporate the haemorage stuff in later. Thank you!
