Munchkin, isn't there a BOF rule about the length of membership before anyone can redecorate? I'm sure I read it somewhere. And I know there's a clause about velvet.
Seeing as how I have no more money for bribes, I move we appoint Munchkin to find the rulebook, after which the policy committee (if any of them are still alive) should meet and review the situation.
It would be sort of nice to have a copy of the rulebook available. Not that I don't trust anyone here, but having things in black and white prevents misunderstandings.

There most certainly was a rulebook at one point. I have a terrible feeling it may have been used as firelighters. Just a mo'
*He pops out of the committee room leaving but a faint whiff of stale beer.
Soon he returns clutching the remains of a very tatty journal*
Well, some of it is still here. There is the rule about micturation. And the one about spitting. And something about Wooly Mammoths on the Queen's Birthday. I can't make out much else due to my eyesight. Anyone?

I believe we have said NO about changing the curtains and voted NOT to change the curtains. Several times. Zantic has even gone to heroic lengths to rescue the curtains when they mysteriously blew into the canal without causing any other damage to the establishment. We owe it to Zantic to preserve the curtains, now.
Pink for Christmas??
Are we going to put those felt antlers on the Snughound again this year?

Pinky Posted Dec 4, 2004
Pinky sings... I'm dreaming of a Pink Xmas, unlike the ones we used to know lalalalala lalala lalala. So once a rule has been overturned (I think thats what I mean) does that mean we can't discuss it again ever ? *Sits down next to Snughound and waits for an answer to this mystery*

*Pinky smiles at Caerwynn and thinks,(Oh I know,I surprise myself sometimes you know, thinking and things,it's amazing )I'll wait until the 12th of Never, and thats a long, long time.Strokes Snughound and wonders what has he got stuck to his fur ?*

Is there a rule saying I'm allowed to give Snughound a bubble bath does anyone know ? Or am I really being silly now ?

Thankyou for the recognition of the efforts I went to to preserve the feeling of gllom and suchlike in my much beloved Snug. Pink at ANY time of the year!
I'm sure you can try to wash the Snughound Pinky, but I think you'll find he'll be just as bad afterwords. It's not the OUTSIDE of him from whence the smell eminates. And the fleas would prefer a cleaner habitat, or so says their committee.
Here I am, brain the size of a lemon...

There are tubs and hoses out on the terrace, if the hedgehogs haven't carried them away.
But perhaps we ought to nominate a Snughound Hygiene Committee first. And contact the local hospital.

Hypatia Posted Dec 8, 2004
I personally object to bathing the Snughound. The shampoo will disturb the oil content of his skin. And frighten the fleas. And the stench of wet snughound will permeate the entire building and last for months.
I say we wait until summer and take him for a swim.

Pinky Posted Dec 9, 2004
Mmmmmmmmm would that be a swim in the canal ?

Munchkin Posted Dec 9, 2004
The mention of wet Snughound stench has made me all nostalgic. If only i could remember why.
i am certainly quite happy to see the old boy given an airing, he hasn't been outside in longer than I can remember, but no coming in and shaking water all over the place. It will disturb the dust.

I think a vacuuming would be in order ... can I have a Proposer for that? ... and a seconder ... and four people to hold the Snughound in place?

Coniraya Posted Dec 10, 2004
Whose going to go out and by a vacuum cleaner? Pinky is going to be busy bathing the hound. I can't walk further than the Ladies in these heels.

Munchkin Posted Dec 10, 2004
I think we have one of those sweeper things in the cupboard. No need to go spending good, hard, cash on anything new-fangled like an electrified vacumming device.
The Sub-committee for Interior Decoration
Kes Posted Dec 10, 2004
Brilliant! The sweeper will do the job just fine ... and we can all have a round of drinks on the house with the money saved by not buying a vacuum cleaner!
