for your Mum Smurfles
I've just heard the tribute to Steve by David Bellamy, who sounded like he was crying. What a loss to the world.

Andrew is upset too. He loved how he wrestled with the crocs. His first reaction was "but he wasn't old"

Steve Urwin I still can't believe he has gone. Such a loss to the world of conservation. At least it was a rapid (and fitting) end, not a prolonged one. I think it was always on the cards that he would die as dramatically as he lived.
The world is very short on colourful, enthusiastic, dedicated people. He will be much missed but he has left a wonderful legacy for future generations. Long may that continue.

I have been surprised to hear children talking about his death, and how sad it is.
It shows how many lives he touched

Yes, my lad is very upset. He loved how Steve wrestled with crocs and thought him very brave.
A and a new candle today for my Grandma Ella, whose birthday it is. To Ella in Heaven, I'm thinking of you on your birthday as I do every day, I love you and still miss you very much

Heard on the radio that someones kids called Steve Irwin "The Bonkers Man" when he came on the television. He may have had a somewhat eccentric style to his delivery, but if it got kids interested in wildlife and conservation, then it was a good job done.Rest in peace,Steve, and thanks for the memories and a job well done.

Yes, what I think of most when I think of Steve Irwin is his boundless enthusiasm! My managers are in Australia and we've been talking about Steve in phone calls and emails.

Remembering 9/11 five years on, all those who died, their relatives and friends, and a prayer that nothing on that scale ever happens again
