*looks confused*
What? Isn't it the fourth day anyway and isn't it meant to be the twelve days before Christmas not after? Anyway...hens are fun we can teach them to sing...
*watches BagPuss taking notes*

*opens dodgy looking suitcase full of suspect jewelery*
Get yer gold rings here! Stolen goods at stolen prices! Gold rings, today only!
*looks around shiftily, shuts case in hurry*
Um, no I'm pretty sure that the 12 days of Christmas start on Christmas day. The days before Christmas are advent aren't they? The 12th night falls on 6th January, that being the last of the 12 days of xmas...

Yes thanks... and I've just had a cool new year's eve too... (though rather crowded)
There were an awful lot of police in Trafalgar Square last night... not that they were effective or anything

Glad you had a great time!
*grins*
I had a cold new year...possibly snow shoes would've been a better bet than heels

Well I thought my hiking boots would've been a warmer option but apparently they weren't too festive...even with glitter

I know! And I even compromised by not wearing a fleece and woolly hat
So how was your New Year? Did you get there alright? We were virtually snowed in so I didn't know if you'd make it across Ennerdale...

I did fine. It was a bit slippery, but other than the odd comment about rally driving from my passengers, I got across uneventfully. Not that that was the case for everyone; Thom, my housemate, wrote his dad's car off.

I know what you mean about rally driving comments as people always assume that I'm going to be a girl racer and speed everywhere... which is not true but just because I like motor racing they instantly assume it...
*sits muttering*
Peregrin when you say you've not passed it, does that means you've tried or that you've had enough sense not to even bother?

I did try once and failed because I wasn't taking any notice of any other road users...
but I don't really want to drive actually as I think there's enough pollution hanging around and I should be able to travel as much as I need to using public transport. (that theory doesn't really work very well in the UK but elsewhere it generally does)
I don't understand people who are car mad either - racing is okay, I think it's fun, but when people start drooling over a car just because it's less than five minutes old and has a bigger engine than anybody elses I think it's just silly. So bleh to all car lovers.
I find boats and aeroplanes and mountain bikes much more interesting

Jenson Button failed his test first time for that too...
Hmmm... bleh to all car lovers?
*considers sulking*
What even Subaru's?

Hum... in the same way as burning rainforests is cool? (it's very pretty watching everything go up in smoke)
