A Conversation for Hebrew

grammatical precision

Proper Hebrew has always been precise. Many nuances of Biblical Hebrew, though, aren't reflected in Ben-Yehuda's simplification of the language. Since that version had been adopted for use in Israel, many Hebrew speakers don't neccesarily realize that the variations one sees in Biblical Hebrew grammar are actually different nuances of meaning.

As for finding different word choice in translations, that often reflects either that one translator was doing a very good (or bad) job, or perhaps that two translators were translating for different target audiences.
