And you are most definately Psycorp, and not Awix smiley - tongueout

Really interesting interview Rich, and I can see what you mean't about getting back to you after reading, with regards to the old groups, community reporting thing...

I think the best way to do it, would be to have a small team (or big team I guess, the more the merrier) of people writing a little bit (or again a big bit if they want), about what's going on in the community. You could have a kind of Oliver type scenario going on with lots of little urchins keeping their ear to the ground to find out whats going on... maybe report on new people, interesting things they're doing...and so on.

I can see it now. I think I tried to do something like this before, but I wasn't in the right frame of mind towards h2g2 and the post maybe...

I'm a bit like you with time though Rich smiley - tongueout... too many ideas (not all of them good!) and not enough time to implement them!

Still it could be fun to start a little section of the post and put together people's comments about what's going on in hootoo land... it could be just a paragraph from a handful of people, but I think it could be interesting... I'm not saying I'll do it yet, but I would like to air the idea a bit, and tell me what you think...

Anyway, that's a brilliant interview, muchus credit to both Psycorp and Rich for a great article smiley - ok

That's exactly what I had in mind. Now that we have a proactive and dynamic editorial team, the next logical step is to filter that out into the community. Bring back Post Reporters, maybe even formally.

I've been debating with myself whether that would eventually happen organically; whether our presence in AWW and around people's journals would lead to people starting to point things out to us ('Dear Post Team, did you see Researcher X's journal this week?') or whether we'd be better off approaching the likes of you, Psycorp and Matt and asking if you'd like to help lead it. I was hoping that I'd stick the idea into people's heads when I hinted at it here, but it was interesting that you came out with it independently.

This issue shows where we can go with The Post. We can't handle the volume every week, of course, but it shows that the quality is out there. I've preferred the 'slow burn' approach rather than trying to have a revolution, but Community Post Reporters is an idea that we could conceivably get up and running very quickly.
