Another good one BB. I hope someone spots it and waves it in the direction of the Towers.
Could you just run it through a spell check to sort out those devilish "i"s and "e"'s that sometimes occur after "c"s? Ta. Oh, and is the spelling of C. Tomidns correct? I'll take your word for it but it just seems improbable to me.

Well, that's how his name's spelt where I researched it.
And yep, it should be better spell-checked now, thanks.

Inside - well, it's square inside, despit being octaganol outside, and is essentially hollow and stone. The idea was that you put a fire at the bottom and if it's bright enough, the light would shine out the holes at the top.

Simply brilliant! I can't believe this entry has languished in the Peer Review for over five weeks!
It's a pity the photos will have to go if it's accepted.
I doubt the art team could do it justice!

And just like that.....
...you're on your way!
This entry has cleared the first 'official' hurdle toward inclusion into the Edited Guide. (Obviously the first 'real' hurdles involved your coming up with the idea, doing the research and then actually writing the thing.)
Of course, this is just a starting point. It now joins a queue of entries waiting to go out to the Subeditors. Once a Sub is done with it, it will be sent back to Anna and her gang for a final review. Then it'll join another queue of entries waiting to be featured on the front page - if it doesn't take a detour for the art team to make it pretty.
So you've still got a wait ahead of you, but at least you know your entry is moving.
Speaking of Anna, here's what she said about your entry "A medieval lighthouse! Wow!" I don't want you to get the impression that she's easily excited, but....
This was a brilliant entry! Thanks for writing/submitting it.
Hopefully you'll keep writing about the Isle of Wight while you wait. I love that the Guide is filling up with entries on that place - when/if I ever get to visit England, you've convinced me that I need to go there!

Don't worry - I'll carry on writing about the Isle of Wight. The trouble is, they don't let you have articles long enough to write about it fully... I'm currently writing about Isle of Wight piers, a history of each Promenade Pier on the Island etc, but I'm sure it'll end up being too long and will have to be split... Oh well.
