h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

This is an alphabet and memory game that we often play in the car. You take it in turns to add something to the shopping list starting with the letter you are now on, having first recounted the previous items on the list (from memory, when you're not playing online!). For example, if it was my go and we were now on letter 'E', I would list the previous items and then add my own for 'E', thus:

I went to the shops one day and I bought an Apple, a Banana, some Chocolate, a DVD and an Elephant.

The more obscure they get as it goes along, the better! As this is h2g2, if you can incorporate a smiley into your go, all the better. So let's get started:

We used to play this game in the dorm at school, but without the alphabetic constraint. Then it was difficult! Of course there'd be no difficulty here in written form, specially with copy-&-paste!
