I borrow this format from the Grauniad Weekend magazine (answers on page 82). All you have to do is work out what connects the things mentioned; a bit of lateral thinking is often required. Whoever gets it sets the next one. So, what connects
The Thirty-Nine Steps
Tom & Viv
The Count Of Monte Cristo?
What connects..?
PedanticBarSteward Posted Apr 20, 2007
They all start with 'T' is the obvious answer but if it comes from the Grorniad - totally wrong - I will therefore have to think.
What connects..?
Researcher U197087 Posted Apr 20, 2007
That's not the connection!
Okay. They're all films starring someone who has played Jesus.
Thirty-Nine Steps (Robert Powell)
Tom & Viv (Willem Dafoe)
Count Of Monte Christo (2002) (Jim Caviezel)
Try this one. What connects
Del-boy's car
Scottish river
US Film Festival?

They're all famous Americans called Williams:
Robin Williams (actor)
Don Williams (singer)
Oscar Williams (poet)

That's not what I've got on the card, sorry! Robin is correct though.

Now I would have gone with something to with Sundance. There's the Sundance film festival which Robert Redford organises, and isn't the car coloured Sundance Yellow I think I read somewhere. No idea about the river, though.

It could be Butch & SUNDANCE, Bonnie & CLYDE, Batman & ROBIN?
What connects..?
Geggs Posted Apr 20, 2007
Or is it double Rs? Reliant Robin, Robert Redford and whatever the river is called?

Icy is correct, the answer is sidekicks. Though I had no idea how many answers it might have been...

I know nothing about films, so on a different subject altogether, what links:
A town in Kent
A comic book author
A man with 50 sons
Icy
What connects..?
mikeyc0312 - Humans are mad. How else can you describe a creature that spends large amounts of time arguing with itself? Posted Apr 21, 2007
They're all things no-one ever hears about:
The county town of Kent is Maidstone which hardly anyone has ever heard of (I only know it because I live in Maidstone)
Nobody ever knows who writes comic books
Have you ever heard of a man with 50 sons?
What connects..?
Icy North Posted Apr 22, 2007
No, not Maidstone, sorry.
The comic book author is Italian.
The 50-times dad is mythological.
