Looks more like a contraction. (I did spot the possible anagram indicator.)
I'll wait for further mis/directions... or for someone else to solve it.

No anagram. In drunken Dublinese we'd slur the d in lads.

Did he come back from the dead to tell us (drunkenly) 'We're the lads'? (7)

I've been rather lazy lately, so I don't have anything to post. Perhaps someone else will pick this up...

When I'm in the mood, setting clues is enjoyable, relatively easy, and satisfying in itself. When I'm not in the mood, I'm uninspired and it all seems like too much work for very little payoff.
I think that [apart from my insistence that the basic norms are followed (sorry about that)] others are happier keeping in touch with each other via games that require some imagination but far less work.
I'm happy to continue... albeit currently uninspired.

Abandon ship?
Lazarus was inspired by your last clue, which reminded me of the quote from Ulysses 'Come forth Lazarus! And he came fifth and lost the job.'

Ah, I thought you had decided to abandon ship. Reading too much into cryptic messages.

It's 'Anyone for tennis', but I thought you'd gone so I left it.
I've just had a tooth and the remains of two others removed in preparation for implants...... so I won't be feeling up to much for a few days.
For now, just this:
