Acrostic Poems
PedanticBarSteward Posted Jan 18, 2007
Sorry - a bit depressive
Tired
Tried as I might, I could not sleep,
In darkness the daemons around me creep
Remorse, regrets and hopeless dreams
Ever regrets of the things not seen,
Do I have to fight in this heap.

Hush
Hear me sing a lullaby
Unfolding its magic powers
Soothing and nearby
Helping you through the hours.

This is getting very complicated!!!!
Dreams
Drift into sleep with someone talking
Rhymes are best and stop the stalking
Edging out the thoughts that fright
Around the middle of the night.
Midnight’s nothing to be feared
So tell me a poem – mine most deared.

Hope
Heaven is a glorious place
Or so we're told
Putting our lives on hold
Expecting eternity to face.

Death
Dying is strange – I have been there.
Everything’s dark and incredibly quiet.
Although within the ether
There’s something that says
Hold on – OK – come back about next Easter.

Life
Love, be happy and sing
In fall, summer, winter and spring
Free your mind from fear and despair
Enjoy every day, despite Tony Blair.

Love
Love is something that’s hard to define,
Oh - that it’s something I could find
Vile thoughts keep creeping in the mind
Ensuring that love will be un-twined.

Kiss
Kneeling you find me
I want so much
Soft lips to touch
So please,let it be.

Touch
The
Overwhelming sensation
Under my shirt -
Maybe your
Hand?
Y.

Soft
Silklike sensation
On my skin
Feeling like a revelation
Totally making me spin
Acrostic Poems
YOGABIKER Posted Jan 19, 2007
Making a romantic gesture
Under the nose of this silly jester
Speaking of romance
Heaving chests, per chance
You should get a room and sequester

Funny
Feel free to make fun
Unless you poke your
Nose into things for
Nothing but a quick
Yet cheap joke

129. Immagination
If what we think, not when, but why,
Make us sometimes want to cry,
Maybe we think, too hard, too deep,
And, when we do, we cannot sleep.
Go off – leave me, my thoughts alone,
I want to do things on my own.
No need for others’ intervention,
Allow me time for my invention.
Tomorrow at the break of day,
I will think clearly anyway,
Open the secrets of my dream.
Make clear the pattern of my scheme.

I hate to say so because it's a wonderful poem, but it's still wrong, imagination ends in N, not in M

I should be shot for being so careless and not proof reading what I write - sorry.
Notate the pattern of my scheme.

Typos
Too few digits, too many keys
You're rarely right with problems like these
Press and be damned, but don't be too quick
Or people might think that you're naturally thick.
S**t!!!

Finally you have contributed here,
Everyone welcomes you – I am sure
In saying that, I am not insincere,
Some others should try, it’s not so obscure.
Open you mind – let a word inspire.
Rhyming – it’s nothing – just a strange desire.

Welcome
Wonderful to have you here
Eventually you joined
Let me greet you with beer
Cheer you with a German 'Moin'
Oh, may you write
Many a poem
Even if it's trite.
