A Conversation for Riverside Cottage
Amos at work...

*Much has happened while Lady C has been on her sabatical. The village continues to grow, as do the flowers, grass and not forgetting the weeds. Amidst all this , Amos Featherly toils relentlessly come rain, hail, floods or shine. The grounds to Lady C's house are, as always, immaculate despite the river, which it is situated by, rising in level, and flooding in places. Worst affected was poor Amos himself. Shed bound for a number of weeks, as the lower floor was inaccesable. Lady C's house, has thankfully escaped any such flooding, being situated on a slight rise, as was intended by the original owner who commissioned the building a good few centuries ago. Amos can be seen tending to the slight areas that were affected, but the damage is little, and the plants and grounds hardy. Spring will see it in it's full glory. He checks the house itself, by way of a side door, to which only he has a key. All seems to be in order. As always the place is immaculate, despite there being nobody in residence at the momnet, but then Amos can never tell when Lady C will return. All is in readiness should she return without forewarning, as has happened numerous times in the past. He locks up, satisfied all is well, and heads back to the shed: http://www.h2g2.com/F52032?thread=74035 where he thought he had heard a voice calling his name.
