Tiananmen Square Massacre - Lest we forget
John the gardener says, "Free Tibet!" Posted Jun 4, 2005
On the night of 3-4 June, 1989, People's Liberation Army soldiers opened fire on peaceful pro-democracy demonstrators in Tiananmen Square, Beijing, China. The number of people killed that night is unknown. The Chinese government still refuses to acknowledge any wrong or allow any public mourning by those who lost family members or friends in the massacre.
