Very very good smiley - smiley I enjoyed reading it.

I still want to know how that "compass and iron" problem was solved though... smiley - winkeye

Gooday Bluebottle,

A great read, super research; really enjoyed it. It occurred to me that Isambard Kingdom Brunel would have to be a great subject for an entry. Ships, railways, bridges - he was an engineering genius. Take care,

Walter.

Very true - he did have quite an enigmatic mind which people on h2g2 would probably appreciate.

Anyway, I said I'd tell you when I found out about the ironship/compass problem, and I have - it's in the first footnote on the re-written article. smiley - smiley
