Gandalf ( Got my own Comp Now!! Still Redundant!! )

Got to say that you have to have some form of beaurocracy in all this.
Without it, you end up with anarchy, and any kind of rubbish will get onto h2g2.

I am a 'newbie' and hav'nt even sorted out my own homepage properly yet!
that's how much thought is going into it.

IF A JOB IS WORTH DOING< IT'S WORTH DOING WELL!!!!

That's what I think anyway.
End of my twopenny worth.

We have an in-house Editorial team, plus an excellent team of volunteer Sub-Editors. Our intention is to maintain the highest standards within the Edited Guide, which are those entries that are highlighted on the front page.

If you stay for a while, and I hope you do,you'll see how we manage the project and how the in-house teams, the volunteers and the Researchers all work together collaboratively. We've achieved a lot in the 16 months since h2g2 started, and there is so much more to do. And it's been great fun so far... smiley - smiley

Congrats on the forward movement in the editing/approval process. Isn't that what life is about? To boldly go where no editor has gone before...or something like that...smiley - smiley

A great quote from Dave Barry...
"No matter what happens, somebody will find a way to take it too seriously"

PS...it's spelled bureaucracy smiley - sadface -sorry, just having a petty moment of my own!

If it's on the peer review page at http://www.h2g2.com/PeerReview it will be being looked at as we speak, as the Scouts are now in operation and getting stuck into it.
