What do you do when the site is down for maintenance? Write guide entries.

This once-popular series is available on the internet, and it's as good now as it was in the 1960s.

And no, before anyone asks: I will NOT include ANY information about the Harrison Ford movie. It has almost nothing in common with the original. The same goes for the other two attempted remakes.

Alas, I have no illustrations, as this is a commercial product. FWR, see me for tips on how to employ your genius here. (I can tell you what the mugshot photo should look like, and you can pose for it...)

I'm not sure I've seen any episodes of this series, but I certainly knew of it, and was pleased to learn more from this Entry smiley - ok It wasn't on DVD when my dad and I went through a phase of watching classic TV like The Prisoner, but he watched it in the '60s smiley - ok

I think shows are often strengthened by having a defined beginning, middle and end, rather than trying to stretch them out to make more money from the 'brand' (certainly a few programmes I used to enjoy turned into quasi soap operas that didn't appeal to me after they went way beyond the original plot motivation... But then there are others, like Dirk Gently, where they ended in the middle, leaving me wanting more!)

Thanks, Sasha! smiley - smiley I agree - make the story follow an arc and it's like having a very long novel. Right now, I've found all the episodes in order in the Internet Archive. I'm enjoying them more and more. Some good work in there.
