Not physically you fools!!! Sam, put her down this instant
Just a suggestion, but with far fewer italics on site and if Natalie is having to take a wider on-site role (or roll ) wouldn't it be better if she had a 'proper' italics number so that if we need an italic in a hurry we'll be able to see here in the who's online box?

I'd second that (have already queried it before) but it might make it confusing for people who are subscribed to various conversations etc. She would have to check both accounts for messages and/or resubscribe to everything and possibly transfer ownership of some pages.

Or you could just have a feature in the who's online box to separate out the italics?
Or would that be too easy

Hello there
I can't remember quite why, but when I started here I was told that it wasn't possible for me to have a low U-number. I'll ask again though. Though I think U190181 is rather catchy!
Thanks!
Natalie

Was it 'wasn't possible' or 'wasn't necessary'
I seem to remember that it used to be something to do with the way they made the names Italic but since Jim changed that it's no longer necessary for Italics to have low U numbers.
I could of course be completely wrong!

Thanks Natalie... oh and the instruction for Sam to put you down should have been suffixed with "But only if she wants you to!"

It would be pretty easy to pull out italics separately and keep them at the top.

Even better Jim...
If you could do that, would they be at the top whether you were viewing in ID/Name or Unsorted order?

Depends how it was implemented. We could do it all the time, or only when a sort order isn't specified.

When I'm looking for an Italic, I tend to sort by ID for an obvious reason - maybe Italics could always appear at the top of <./>online</.> only when the page is sorted by ID?

I remember a thread where it was mentioned that a new low U-Number wasn't currently possible... for some reason or another. Is that right, Jim?
I like the low U-numbers. I've memorized most of the italic numbers (past and present) thought I'm finding Sam's a bit tricky. I have to go to the <./>Team</.> page for a link to Natalie's page.

Ok in my sad mind it works like this:
1+9+0 = 10
1+8+1 = 10
and to remember the middle numbers, 9 and 8 have a difference of 1!
Which means the number must be 190181
Told you it was sad!
now 49849 is really easy! again 8 and 9 are consecutive and 2x4 = 8!
Hey it works for me!
