Susanne - if it ain't broke, break it! Started conversation Jun 18, 2006
Hello everyone
This is just a very small suggestion, but I wanted to ask wether it would be possible to have a sort of more visible link to The Forum A1146917. I like to browse interesting conversations frequently, so anyway I'm always having a look at "Ask h2g2". The Forum is very interesting also, and not that small. But there is no link to it on the front page under the section "h2g2 Community Bookmarks", nor under the list of possible talking places in the "Talk"-section (on the menu bar). I just thought, to make it accesible more quickly, you know... a link or something..

You haven't even put a link to it on your personal space yet though ...

Yeah well, I just thought that others might want to have a look at the forum, too. And so I thougth of some *public* link. Other researchers have the site-number to whatever permanently attached to their name-tagline, but I don't know, it doesn't seem appropriate to advertise this thing which someone else started, and I only like to visit.

Traveller in Time on his head
"This has been proposed before I think. Was it not the randomness of < <./>Askh2g2</.> > they wanted to avoid ? And was not one of the efficient ways not publish the Forum on a broad scale?
This way only regulars, with 'serious' debate issues will take part in 'serious' balanced discussions.
There are numerous clubs and societies some with discussion as target some creating stories, some are fan clubs < A655256 > some are campaigns. They can not be listed all on the frontpage. "

Maybe it's because Ask was set up (I believe) by the italics, while the Forum is an unofficial area set up by researchers.

Hmm, I just read the discussion started by Azahar last year (thanks for that link Kea ). I suppose the official point of view has not changed, has it? Me personally, I think The Forum would benefit from the attention which would increase, should it be put on the Front Page. But okay, I also see the arguments against..Ah well

I was thinking of re-arranging my PS anyway, making it fancier...sometime soon...or a bit later In the meantime, I've put a link for my private use at the bottom of my PS.
