Really good Entry - well done!

Bet there aren't too many vegetarians in Iceland...

This might be of interest : http://www.florilegium.org/files/FOOD-BY-REGION/fd-Iceland-msg.html

I don't approve of eating seals myself, mainly on account of being one. Killer whale cooks up nicely, though.

That IS one site I saw, but I didn't use anything from it that wasn't on other site, I didn't reference it. Perhaps I should, just for interest.

I left off the lichen bread & moss mild, 'cause, well, you have to leave off somewhere! LOL!

Thanks

Sho - gainfully employed again

excellent entry - absolutely fascinating

Where you have referenced other entries, perhaps you could do a link showing the title, so that we can see what we're clicking on?

(oh and I think that when the sub-eds get hold of it, your cute little smiley - spork will all disappear)

smiley - ok

theLadyBrianna,

For some strange reason, h2g2 Smileys are not allowwed in h2g2 articles so you must dump the smiley - sporks as appropriate as they might be.

However, one wonders, based on the following link about the orgination of the term "thunderbread" http://tradisjoner.no/text5.html. Is "thunderbread" really about farts, or is it perhaps named in honor of the thunder-god Þór (Thor)? Your explanation is much funnier but is is accurate and will you be offending the Icelanders and maybe also the eccentric Bobby Fisher?

No, no ... it's NOT in reference to Thor, it really is due to the gas, much like we Americans and our "Beans, beans the musical fruit/ The more you eat, the more you toot..."

::sigh:: I missed the part in the Guidelines about smileys .... I'll have to do some pondering. Hmmm - bulletted list, maybe? Dang it, I like those smileys! smiley - wah

Thanks for all the help!smiley - biggrin

Ok, I took out the sporks & added the link... so, does the formatting look ok? I thought that the titles of the dishes needed something more, but do they?

Thanks

Great Entry Lady Brianna smiley - smiley

I made the mistake of reading this morning, before I'd had my breakfast. smiley - laugh

Just a couple of minor suggestions. There is an Edited Entry on Haggis A261136 or Gutting a Fish A378335 you might like to include.

And just a little something you may like to do while your waiting for more comments. smiley - smiley 'single quotes' rather than "double quotes" are standard for Entries inteneded for the EG, you might like to change your doubles to singles. If/when your Entry is picked, it will save the Sub-Editor a little bit of work. smiley - ok

You were asking about something to replace the Sporks...Here is a nice formatting touch, I think with bullets and italics.

Hello - Nice to see you!

Goodbye - It's been real!

Good idea to suggest using bullets Bob, but may I point out another tag is required for bullets.

- (Unordered List opening tag)

Hello - Nice to see you!

Goodbye - It's been real!

- (Unordered List closing tag)

If you wanted a numbered list you would use - Ordered List opening tag at the beginning of the list and Ordered List closing tag at the end of the list.

And tags are only used in certain circumstances in Entries intended for the EG smiley - oksmiley - smiley

Much better!

I like the bulleted list ... but do you think I should put space between the list items? Or is it ok the way it is? I can't decide! smiley - laugh

Yes, I think it would improve with spaces between. I hadn't realised you were going to delete the s and s If you put them back in, that will space it out. smiley - oksmiley - smiley
