You have neglected to change several obvious errors. I won't bother to point them out in future. smiley - shrug

Ah, you mean the errors pointed out in the conversation thread after the Help Page had been updated. The 'completed' status was added before you made your posts, and I'd quite forgotten about it as some of the points were open to debate, and one was to do with editorial policy rather actually being something that needed correcting.

Is there any chance you could post your suggested corrections of the Help Page to <./>Feedback-Editorial</.>? smiley - smiley

Here you go, Alex: http://tinyurl.com/dynvv8 Posting 41.

Also, there are a couple of places where - if my understanding is correct - the initial letter of the word 'entry' should be capitalised:

Using Footnotes:

Titles, etc: <Thus we have 'Dallas, Texas, USA' and 'Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, UK' as
[e]ntry titles.

See Using Capital Letters: "We capitalise 'Edited Entry', 'Guide Entry', 'Entry' (as an abbreviation of either of these)"

Yes, I found that posting shortly after you posted post 3 above smiley - ok

Is there any reason why you don't want to post a list of corrections for the EditedGuide-Style to <./>Feedback-Editorial</.>? As I've mentioned, the update has already been performed - I no longer have editing rights for the new version of the Help Page.

smiley - ok Although I was a little more specific on a couple of points:

smiley - popcorn <four dots in brackets ([....]</CODE&gtsmiley - winkeyeshould be used to denote the part that you've skipped.>

Should be 'four dots in square brackets'.

smiley - popcorn Please see Posting 5 (above) where I give two examples of references to "entry/entries" that I'm (fairly) sure need to be capitalised.

ps I shall now remove myself from the arena. smiley - run

"Should be 'four dots in square brackets'."
- I think the example makes things clear enough.

"Please see Posting 5 (above) where I give two examples of references to "entry/entries" that I'm (fairly) sure need to be capitalised."
- I included the point about capitalising 'Entry' in my EF post. smiley - cdouble

"I included the point about capitalising 'Entry' in my EF post."

Pointing out the two examples I gave would have been more helpful, don't you think?

Over & out.
