Hi tbsunday - welcome to h2g2 and welcome to Peer Review
You've got the facts right in this entry, but the entry is a bit short. I can see that you're keen to get an Edited Guide entry, so maybe you could expand the entry to include other tuning techniques etc - I don't think there's an edited entry on tuning yet...
Have a look at the Writing-Guidelines - don't be too scared by them, as you've fulfilled most of the categories - you just need to put some more detail into the entry.
If you feel that writing a bigger entry is too much on your own, then - there's a lot of guitar lovers out there who would probably be willing to help...

Uh... You can also press the E string in the 4th fret (A-flat) and tune the A string to match. Then proceed using the A string as a reference.
Many bands tune guitars low, some even by a whole note. These alternate tunings affect the bridge settings, especially if you're using a 'Floyd Rose'. Some people complain about the strings having too little tension when the whole thing is tuned down. You get more tension if you use thicker wires. Usually those low-tuners use .12 gauge or mixed gauge string sets.
The idea of the Entry is nice, but it's a bit meagre right now, in my opinion. Try to expand the Entry a bit.

PS: Oh, and don't forget to remove 1st person passages! (This is a no-no for Edited Guide Entries)

Down to B - wow. You must be a big fan of Rattle and Hum. Or rattle, anyway.
As far as tuning techniques go - as most guitar tuners now seem to be chromatic anyway, why not just tune the bottom string until the tuner reads out E flat (or D#), then carry on up the strings for G#, C#, F#, A# and finally D# again?
