Hello all! Glad to be back..sorry to have missed tea-parties etc.
You'll notice I have replaced the original chukka-tent with a larger and therefore more sociable model; also have added a Kelly kettle for more-or-less instant hot water .
Do call in for a cuppa and a chat

i have never heard of this simnel cake, but whatever it is it tastes GREAT!

Yes...I think 'biccies' is Anglo-Welsh-speak for biscuits indeed!
Simnel cake is saffron-flavoured and rather like a madeira cake? This one has toasted flaked almonds on top and a few little edible flowers....
