Vicki Virago - Proud Mother

I know this is most probably not the right place to ask but I have placed a piece in AWW called Abandoned and apart from 4 people, no-one has looked at it. I want to try to give the piece a little bit of finess but am having trouble. Would you mind looking at it, it not it doesn't matter.

Thanks

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho

I know that I've already had a look at it and given it the smiley - ok Don't think it needs anything else Vicki. Could you post a link here for anyone who hasn't seen it - just the A number will do, like this A354566

If you have an entry in one of the Peer Review forums which isn't getting much comment, it could just be that it doesn't need any smiley - smiley It's quite common for that to happen. And it's not unknown for researchers to post every couple of days in their own thread just to bump the thread back up to the top of the list (don't abuse that though smiley - winkeye)

Entries in the AWW don't usually get as much attention as those in PR, but more than the CWW, and they most often get picked up by <./>ThePost</.> or AGG/GAG U187783.

Also, as AWW entries can't go into the Edited Guide, they often hang around a bit longer without comment than those in PR, but if they're as good as yours is, something will happen to it. You just have to wait a while smiley - smiley

Oh yeah, I should also add that the Scouts are pretty much snowed under with all the Peer Review forums, so entries do sometimes slip through the net. And furthermore, although Scouts patrol and look after all of the PR forums (Peer Review, Writing Workshop, A. Writing Workshop, C. Writing Workshop, and the Flea market), Peer Review is the only one they can recommend entries from.

Hi Vicky

Folks, this entry is at A851294

A number of people have seen it and commented. There aren't two opinions among them all - it's a very moving story and it's very well written. Period.

Thanks for the advice.

I am unsure how to move anything. I am still a bit of a virgin when it comes to h2g2.

Help would be appreciated.

Do I need to unsubscribe to AWW then post to Scouts home page, or somewhere else?

It's fine as it is. Don't panic. Don't *do* anything. Your entry has already been in and out of various forums. All you need is a large and beautiful vase... filled with time. It has taken you years to write this. People are at work. People are out to lunch. The site goes much quieter at the weekend. Have patience.
