Redbeard, I think this idea of an ID card is great (maybe thats because I am a redbeard gone grey). Sometime back I saw an ID card for free usage of Quarks' Holodeck, It was a very impressive card made-up for fans of Deep Space Nine. It had a holographic picture of Quark on it and the "customer" could get the card filled with data of his/her choosing. IE: galaxy and starsystem of origin; Stardate birthday; race (anthropod, cetacean, exosceleton, vertibrate, et cetera); even Federation Affiliation. I think this would be a lot of fun for our "alter egos" and other h2g2 members. I know I would carry my card with honor. Of course here in the good ole US of A any "card carring" group member will probably be considered a communist. I'm willing to take the risk! Hope others will take up the idea. Of course, if you become virtual president of h2g2 you might have to recuse yourself. (I'm joking; only made this observation for lawyers who happen to see this) Go for it!

Thanks, Michael. Love the idea of the hologram - could be used for the h2g2 logo!

Do I sense a bribe here? Naw, that's the American way. I have already cast my vote and I won't say for whom. Hope the ID card gathers some support. Redbeard, I dearly miss the "red" in my beard. It used to be bright red but I went grey prematurely. Do you think I should colour it? I'm losing hair on top, but its the loss of colour that really bugs my vainity. Ah, I think I'll just live with it as it is. But if we ever get ID cards I will colour my beard for my ID picture. Have a stout on me for all red hair!
