Luckily in Belgium/UK we only torture ourselves twice in the winter months, so no need to worry about family gatherings for another 6 weeks yet.

Now I'm off to have some pumpkin pie for breakfast, holidays being a good excuse for all sorts of wild and irresponsible behaviour...

ah, but Thanksgiving Eve and the following night can tend to bring our folks and creatures you don't usually see in the establishments that ARE open.....the pubs.

the final remnants of pumpkin pie have been consumed.
i should have gotten whipped cream at the store today. my bad.

There is still about 1/4 of a Cold Stone Creamery pumpkin ice cream pie (with cinnamon whipped cream topping!) in the freezer. I've been eating it for breakfast and then wondering why I'm always so chilly.

Which reminds me: (note to self) stop at store for cookie ingredients...
