What a brilliant surprise!

How clever of you all! How on Earth did you manage it? As I was listening to it, it occurred to me that the only time I've seen actors producing a radio play or show, they've all been sitting together in front of microphones, reading from scripts and giving each other all sorts of subtle (and not so subtle in the case of The Goon Show) cues. But you must have found some other way because you're spread out all over the place.

If you carry on like this, honing your voice acting and play producing skills, Martin Jarvis and Prunella Scales had better watch out

First, Mina broke it up into an audio script, like this:

dialogue04 (EMR): Peter sneered at the wall.

dialogue05 (Peter): 'What do you think of that?'

dialogue06 (EMR): The sneer dissolved, his eyes widened and his mouth dropped open as he listened to the reply - a reply that he, alone, could hear.

dialogue07 (Peter): 'No! No, you won't be able to do that. I can drown you out. Loud noise. Yes, I'll turn the music up until I can't hear you any more.'

dialogue08 (lil): 'Mr Lacey? You're shouting again. Would you like some of your medicine?'

and so on.

Everyone recorded one line at a time and saved each as 'dialoguexx' so that 2legs had the sequence in order. He then sequenced them all up, corrected all the levels, added background music and emailed it to me.

Sounds dead easy, eh?

It must have taken so much imagination, having a conversation with an absent partner. Now I know, I'm even more impressed. I vaguely thought, video conferencing or something like that. Very clever!

You know I'm not very confident about my dialogue writing skills, so I'm all the more amazed it came out so well.

It gave me a real boost, so I've tried something else that's mainly dialogue - converted from the second story of mine that you put in The Post, "A Strange Infection". I'm still working on it here: A35744600

Don't feel bad about having to tell me it's not suitable, if it's not suitable. I'll understand. But if it might be alright or you have any suggestions to improve it, let me know and I'll try to beat it into shape.

You did a very good job of scaring the out of me. That was in the extreme. The audio version worked brilliantly. Having visited family in a psychiatric hospital it was also a touch painful, which shows how well it was done.

And there I was thinking it must be time to hit the sack

yeh... well it probably is about htat time... hence why I'm tired... no idea why I don't just go to bed really Its fairly quiet on here tonight anyhow... I just keep hitting the refresh button and reading random things from the guide buy my brain is too foggy to concentrate on anything much really

I heard somewhere that dolphins only allow one half of their brain to sleep at a time. The two hemispheres have to take it in turns. Sounds like a useful trick. That way you'd only ever be half bored

Both halves of my brain are sinking fast. So if all you could I'll
