Hi Dave,
This has the makings of an excellent biography for the Edited Guide.
You need to remove the first person references and the email contact details as well.
Take a look at A21388494 and A28303850 as examples on how biographies are written for the guide.
A look here http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/A53209 "Writing for the Guide", will give you guidance on where to go for help as well as others will help in fleshing this out in PR.

"The family are in the 1881 census at 4 Arundel Street Maidstone and I believe that the Henry in that census"

**The family are in the 1881 census at 4 Arundel Street Maidstone and it is believed that the Henry in that census**

Using 'it is believed' does away with the first person reference.

Is there anymore info on what sort/type of singer he was, did he have a band, has he made any records, that sort of thing? Did he work soley in Theatre or did he do clubs/pubs?
Any chance of being more specific on time of death? Is there a web site that may have more info, perhaps do a Google or Yahoo search.
As I said previously, a good start, just needs more detail to flesh it out. smiley - ok

Not much more detail to put in now. I have only recently found out his date of death.

I am grateful for the assistance that has been given and will update as more information becomes available.

This researcher hasn't posted anywhere for 3 weeks. Shame really, the basics for a good article here. smiley - erm

This kind of Entry requires basic research of original documents, a job which is time-consuming, and can be expensive. Needs a family member or a dedicated researcher with the time and enthusiasm to take it on.

Happy Tom Parker was my Great Uncle and most of the information in the article has come from family sources since I placed a request in the Stage for a copy of the words of "Nosey Parker". Although I did not obtain the words I received email contact from two of Happy Toms Grand-children. One in Scotland and one in Cambridge. It transpires that Happy Tom is as much an enigma to them as he was to me. The Stage has now made available, on the net, some of its vast resource of material which is going to give me another time consuming, but enjoyable activity over the coming months to update the article. This enigmatic character is providing more enjoyment than exploring my own leg of the Parker family tree. Once again thanks for all the encouragement in the above notes and I promise I am keeping at it.

I really think this entry has great potential. It could do with some Headers and Subheaders though among other things. smiley - goodluck

I have tried to rearrange the piece in chronological order. Headed some sections and added acknowledgements and further notes in asterisks at the end. As stated before I am still researching.

Just a couple of things dates such as <> should be written like this <>

I'm tentative about telling you about Guide Ml it seems some sub-editors prefer people to not worry about it, while others may have a different opinion. So until a sub-editor suggests otherwise they look alright at present. smiley - smiley

I have had a little go at GUIDE ML. I hope it has improved the layout a little. I have also tried for some more original headers. My grammar does let me down I think but I think my spelling is quite reasonable. I am going to London in September and hope to find some more information, particularly regarding his funeral reports in local papers. Please, any advice will be accepted gladly and actioned where necessary.

I have had a go at guide ML, and have tried to improve the grammar in the piece. I am finding it difficult to fill in gaps between 1902 and 1944 when Happy Tom Parker died. I do hope it has improved since the last time in peer review. I will keep updating as more info is acquired. Many thanks.
