I notice 42 almost everywhere I go, and I would like to know if others do as well. I would like to compile a list of some of the places that fellow fans see "The Answer."

Hi and welcome to h2g2
I have left you a welcome message on your personal space (homepage) that will hopefully help you with the site.
The best place to ask for responses is probably a page called <./>askh2g2</.> - many researchers visit it and get involved in the conversations

the hilarity of that response? count the letters, including the period. 42.... and i wasnt even trying all that hard. oh well... i guess that goes to show you that 42 is truly the Answer. even this reply...42 words, exactly... weird....

It, was, in fact, a completely random number DNA pulled out of thin air "I sat at my desk, stared into the garden and thought '42 will do'. I typed it out. End of story." -DNA

If it is the site then we can try to un-numb your mind. if it is life - well if I could fix that i would be a very rich woman!

Site is fine. Repetitive droning tasks undertaked during times of idleness in a vain attempt to match.... I've recently discovered a new time-waster. Nothing worth mentioning but it does SERIOUSLY cause numbness of the frontal lobes. "Strangely addictive" is right. Now I'm waiting for the inevitable flaming thats to come from my last (and first, I lurked for years) metafilter post. Thats all. You?

There is a very simple explaination, i think it has to do with the front cover of "Dark Side Of The Moon", but don't worry, it doesn't involve complex prime numbers or the wizard of oz.
