I thought the write up given for the island of Sylt, the most northerly point of Germany on the North Sea Coast was extremely inacurate. I went to Sylt myslef last summer and had an amazing time ; the waves were fabulous - a surfer's dream, nothing was too expensive, I emarked on a cycle tour around the island for a meer 10DM and ate lovely traditional German food. Altogether I can say that sylt WAS an island to visit and was the highlight of my European tour.

Hotels in Sylt can be expensive and they do tend to cater more for mature holiday makers with large disposable incomes.
