Manfred Von Richtofen aka the Red Baron, died, aged 25 over the Somme valley, in his red Fokker by Cpt Roy Brown. In all he accounted for 80 aerial victories and in a war were killing was part of a mass production line at least their was some chivalry in the skies. He may have died young but his legend still lives on.
