Abraham Lincoln's birthday - he was the 16th president of the USA.
Born in 1809 in Kentucky, he was assassinated in 1865. He was president for the American Civil War (War Between the States, War of Northern Aggression - depending on where you live). Wrote the famous Gettysburg Address. Is featured on the American penny.
First American president to have his photograph taken.
Freed the slaves.
Had a beard and was pretty tall.
Liked big hats.
Good guy.
