I love Minecraft. I never go on it myself, but it means my son is playing with lego that never needs tidying up, won't cause my feet excruciating agony, and doesn't get trapped in the hoover. And he has built some *amazing* buildings with it. He also designed a working Minecraft dishwasher.

*pulls out the camping kitchen from the closet, fills with methyl alcohol and starts the flame. puts a pot of coffee on*

Has the IIEM suffered a DoS attack? Marv, maybe you can recomfigure it?

Back in DK after going through two sets of rebookings to get here, courtesy of the winter storms in the North-eastern US. Did I really see that this storm was named Pax? If so, that's pretty ironic as many, many passengers were affected by it (and "pax" being travel working lingo for passengers)...

And it's been so long since I last played Rift (several month) that I'd forgotten I was playing on a North American server No wonder players get so foulmouthed in my early morning hours...

I really don't recognize the general demography of Rift any more - the general chat channel is jammed with discussions about the two most flammable topics; politics and religion. Throw in a bit whining about taxes (on a North American server? I believe Sweden still holds the number two position after Denmark on the list of countries with the highest taxes).

And this on a RP server?

Yes, but you get a lot of bang for your buck, so to speak. Our taxes are spent on corporate subsidies and defending our sources of oil. We don't see much personal return in benefits.
