I'll have you know I am the height of sartorial elegance no matter what I wear. I shall wear them as a celebration of my return, despite many attempts to cross the gap. As for them being hairy an Albatross scoffs at such minor details.

Thank you for your concerns my new hip is excellent, a life changing operation. However since that I have had a hernia repaired and on the day I went for a pre op assesment for my second hip I developed a perforated peptic ulcer, due to taking ibuprofen without a PPI, now that was interesting. Never mind I got the all clear for that on Wednesday. So onwards and upwards for the second hip. I am fast approaching being a kit Albatross.

Good Doctor Zomnker (This must be Tuesday," said GDZ to himself, sinking low over his Dr. Pepper, "I never could get the hang of Tuesdays.")

Welcome back WA!

Ta, nice to be back amongst friends and vikings with no appreciation of what well dressed Albatrosses are wearing this season.

Cosmopolitans! Wayhay!! smiley - stiffdrink

Had a spiffing afternoon - the sun was shining, quite possibly the best day we've had all year. I'd spotted a sign for a Doggie Fun Park when we were visiting AyeBee in Dublin last week, so we decided to check it out. Navigated the inevitable roadworks, and found this idyllic filed in the middle of County Down, segregated into 3 secure areas, each with doggy friendly activities and agility courses. discovered that little dog Mini is a natural star at agility! She was up and down the S frame, through the tunnels, weaving through cones, like a good 'un.

That reminds me... of the tiny chihuahua I saw the other morning, on my way to the commuter bus stop. I think it might have not been fully grown yet, as it was the tiniest one I've seen.

What struck me as unusual was how happy and confident the little dog seemed to be.

Until then, I had only seen chihuahuas with their tails between their legs. Shivering and miserable beings.

This one though had his tail straight up, like a flag pole, looking almost longer than the dog itself. And it had a white tip.

Sure it wasn't an antenna? smiley - silly

C was in the forest with Corto smiley - dog recently - and a lady with, maybe not a chihuahua but at least some small dog, claimed that her wee dog was very fast and could easily outrun Corto.. C probably lifted an eyelid, as she is wont, and possibly shook her head. A dog with very short legs faster than a flatcoat? Would take a grayhound...

Good to see you back, WA. Blue suits you smiley - smiley

Ibuprofen without PPI? What's PPI?

Phil

either Payment Protection Insurance, something the UK retail banks have got themselves into trouble for overselling to people who didn't need it or Proton Pump Inhibitor. That stops your stomach being as acid as it might be. Damn useful if you need one (like the gastroenterologist said to me when I lay on the table with an endoscope down my gullet)

Yes, you can easily get back to your Ripley skin of choice by clicking on Preferences and clicking on Update. Your most recent skin preference will still be there, but you must update to get back.

Thanks, Witty and Lil! Okay, tried out Pliny...my vision is bad, so all the white background kinda drowns the dark gray font...back to Goo, for now. Goo does still rule, Ti!

Speaking of Ibuprofen ... Confirmed: the "PM" version won't actually help you get a full night's sleep; you're as likely to wake up after six hours as you are at other nights, it's just that you'll feel like your head's full of fog all day the next day *in addition* to having only gotten six hours of sleep.
