Morning, all.
And, to all those deserving (or not)- CONGRATS!!
Younger brother had his out w/bandaid surgery and got tossed the next morning, MR. Had the don't lift thing for about a month. Had really big stones and they said if they had realized they were that size they would have done conv surgery (lucky for him, I guess).
I vote for teacup, but w/teabag to represent an undercurrent of more casual conversation (casual, not MTV). And, comfy red cut-velvet couch w/occasional table. I mean after all, coffee and tea are not the only 'refreshments' available here. BTW, don't some galleries have 'patron rooms'? Our local one doesn't, but, hey, this is rural Dorothyland.
Oh yeah, almost forgot, 6th annual 'Blues at the Crossroads' coming up soon. Can I post a commercial link here?
Anywho, ttfn.

Very poetic, Phil! I think we need some kind of "bard" smiley, now.
Last night, at precisely midnight the side door of my house suddenly pushed open. The door is quite stiff because the whole house is lightly sheared. The noise was sudden and definite, and it woke me up, which is how I know exactly what time it was.
A minutes later, as I was falling back to sleep, I felt a cat jump onto the bed and begin kneading, at which point I raised my head to see whether it was Limbo or Vinnie. It was neither, and there was nothing there.
I went back to sleep. I have no problem with a .

Ooh creepy.
I stopped by on my way here to look at the Online list. The Archangels all have their robes on again, I see. I like all this pageantry .

A !
Good luck with the gallbladder, MR. We have a mutual friend who had her gallbladder removed about 10 years ago, as did her mother earlier. Both have trouble eating fatty foods, but other than that, they're fine. Of course, much of their dietary troubles also come from the fact that they're Oglala Sioux and have the lactose-intolerant gene that is common among Native Americans.

Well, I got a call from the doc this morning, and I am currently waiting for them to find me a bed. Apparently, my liver enzyme counts are *way* out of whack, which is probably due to a gallstone which, she hopes, has since been passed along the digestive tract (Z, oh soon-to-be doctor, she said the high normal for one was 60, and mine was at 600+, and the other was over 700...which puts it into perspective).
As soon as they have a bed, I will be given IV nutrition and antibiotics, a CT scan, and, if necessary, surgery. I am really hoping that it won't come to the latter!
Anyway, I should have a bed by noon, so as soon as that happens, I'll bookmark, and then catch up to the backlog later.
Sol, ice and heat, ice and heat. Man, stiff necks suck.

*looks at the calendar* Well, looks like we can add post-op for MR to our list of reasons to celebrate on the 9th.

Morning all. My cousin's "Drag Marv out to the club" night was OK, but I could do without the hangover associated with it today.

My to - do list today is fairly short, so this should be simple. If I start with the smallest items it goes.

I have some printing to do and an important email to compose.
And cats to feed, dinner to cook, and The West Wing to watch.
