Small Screen Surfin'

Back again! Not like it was missed or anything but SSS seemed desperate for a bi-monthly slot... which it decided to take. I, however don't want SSS to have a bi-monthly slot! So... instead of a pseudo-review here's just a few off comments because... well because...

Green Wing, new comedy to Channel 4 in a sort of Spaced / Jam type atmosphere thing. Is it any good? We-ell some critics are hailing it but for me it does seem to be bizarre for the sake of being bizarre unlike say Monkey Dust or BrassEye. It is worth watching is any remembers Mark Heap's Stressed Eric run.

Speaking of Brass Eye. Does anyone remember the 'Paedophilia' special which cause uproar? I wonder if those people that protested about it have come to realise that the programme wasn't making fun of paedophilia but paedophiles and the hysteria of those who protested about it! Much like Monkey Dust's 'Paedophinder General' with whom everyone is innocent until suspected.

On a last note with these dark types of comedies, I did come across one person's comments about The League of Gentlemen series 31: 'It's not supposed to be funny!'.

I'm sure Star Wars Trilogy DVD box set buyers will be happy to know that Star Wars: Empire of Dreams - the DVD documentary - is being shown (edited) this Saturday on the Biography Channel.

I wish I had the Biography Channel...

The last edition of Spy is on this Sunday (BBC Three). It promises to be quite interesting- the recruits' last mission is in a foreign country. I recommend it.

Little Britain Series 2 = 'soon'. I've been hearing 'soon' three months now.

Hurray! Flipside TV is off Channel 4! It's not on Paramount 2... earlier than shown on 4-- What the?!

I forgot how much I enjoyed the Short Circuit 2 theme tune.

I've realised that someone on h2g2 is Otto from A Fish Called Wanda. That's in personality not Kevin Klein.

Expect some kind of rant on the new Postman Pat... as soon as I learn what 08:30 means...

Trawling the 'Net2: 'It make's me sick how British people want to act like Americans..' Who wants to drive a truck through them holes?

Is it just me or have a lot of the TV programmes been moved around? And I don't mean because it's Back to School/Olympics season.

And now the Small Screen Supplement!

This week's theme... Postman Pat... obviously. Link.3. Remember, I, SSS, The Post and bbci are not responsible for corrupted downloads or content through external links. Nor does this site take responsibility for those trying to recapture their youth through listening to this week's theme.

Keep Surfin'!
