How Spidey Found Doc Ock's Lair

(Ripped-off script excerpt from Spider-Man 2, the bit after Harry has discovered Spider-Mans's identity)
HARRY is totally shell-shocked.
HARRY: No... [Octavius] just wanted the tritium...
Major-league lightbulbs go off in PETER's head. A beat as he puts two and two together.
SPIDEY: Tritium? He's building the machine again. And when he does, [Mary Jane will] die, along with half of New York!
HARRY: Peter... you killed my father.
PETER knows he has no acceptable explaination for that. But even if he did, there is no time to share it now. Besides, it's high time for the "poor little rich boy" to stop gnawing away at that old bone.
PETER: There are bigger things going on here, Harry, than me and you. Now please, tell me where he's hiding.
(End excerpt)
You can probably tell I wrote that from memory. Anyway, judging from that last line, Harry knew where Octavius was holing out and passed the info on to Spider-Man. How HARRY knew is totally beyond me, especially considering the one-track mind he displayed throughout the movie. (He gets even dumber in the comics. Ugh, don't make me go into it.) Even if that enigma can be explained, I can think of only one plausible reason why he would ever share that tidbit with his enemy: total shock. Otherwise, he might have said something along the lines of "Stuff it and die!"
I was not impressed by S2 in general, but hey, whaddo I know, I liked "Batman Forever". I'm just waiting for either Spider-Woman (there have been four SWs and one is bound to appear eventually) or the Green Goblin to come out of the wings. Sadly, this will probably occur in, say, 2030, when the franchise is on the last of its eight legs. A more recent and inevitable event I anticipate is Harry's reaction to the above-cited scene: he is definitely gonna go psycho on us, but will he become the Hobgoblin or a Green Goblin copycat or a flat-out junkie punk? (Notice his tie was green in the wedding scene at the end of the movie...) Will he be a primary villain or just a nagging pain in the patookie? And how is Peter going to balance MJ with his "work"? You just know they're gonna be at least engaged by sequel time.
