Okay, I put this artical in the collabritive workshop for over a month without a single reply, so I guess it must be perfect
With PDA's getting GPS and search engines getting increasinly clogged, geo graphical location of webpages is getting ready for the big time. (though h2g2 dosn't support it yet )
This is intended to be a light freindly artical about it.
Be gentle with me. (please)

Ok - the first thing you need to do is to remove the picture, as you're not allowed to have one in an entry in Peer Review. Once an entry is through PR, if the editors decide that it will be pick of the day then they will commision a brand new shiny picture for it.
The entry is quite interesting, but I'm not sure about the format. You need to remove the first person references ('cos it says so in the <./>Writing-Guidelines</.>

'Okay, I have some webpage’s how do I give them a location?' --> 'Okay, I have some webpages; how do I give them a location?'
'What about privacy, I don't want people to know I live.' --> 'What about privacy? I don't want people to know I live.'
Other than that (and the first-person bits), I don't see any need to worry about the style; it doesn't impede the information's getting across. Certainly I'd come back to this Entry if I ever needed a brief how-to.
But it may be worth looking for external links for those who want to learn more; http://www.photorss.org/articles/a-review-of-current-html-geo-encodings/ , for example, gives the impression that the subject can get a lot more complicated. A quick Google threw up http://geotags.com/geo/ , which might be worth linking to. See what you think, anyway.
This article is interesting, although I don't know whether it'll be of any use to you; it's a bit far from the basic how-to:

Thankyou both for your great feedback.
As time allows I will roll your suggestions into the text.
It's a pity the powers that be don't like the conversation style, I thought it worked! oh well, edit edit edit!
thanks again!

Let me see if I am following this correctly --
The geolocation of a webpage simply tells where, geographically, that page is based? So, for instance, if h2g2 supported geolocation, its location would be the latitude and longitude of The Towers in London?
What would the purpose of being able to find this information be? (In other words, what is the practical application of this entry? Not that it *has* to have one , just curious.)
There are quite a few typographical and grammatical errors, I can point a few out for you if you'd like to change them, it would make it easier on the Sub-Eds when this gets picked.

The point of H2G2 geo-location would be that any entry with any kind of geopraphic information in it, such as the ones about london underground stations or the leaning of pisa would have geo-location information.
this would offer up a whole new range of ways to use H2G2 such as showing the pages that are near the one you are looking at, showing you pages that are physically near you, showing you how much of the world H2G2 content covers and it would also help with the marketing of H2G2 because it make the content available to anyone doing a geographic search on the web.
I love and feedback about my pages including typographical and grammatical errors so please go ahead
Thanks for your input and I look forward to further feedback.

Ok I'll wade in then…
Quite a few quick fixes suggested here to sorry if this seems a little long! Have a to keep you going!
First paragraph seems to me to be over comma’d!
Third Paragraph:
“Another example of using it would be with a PDA that has GPS and an internet connection, wherever some was,…” Someone was?
“… they could whip open the PDA and via a search engine, see webpages around them, which would be really cool, even if they just wanted to do something simple, like find a nice restaurant near them when on holiday.” So is this paragraph one long sentence?
Fourth Paragraph:
“I give a webpage a location” TO give… ?
Later:
“Yes, there are a few, currently the most famous is a2b another, pre-dated a2b, is Geotags” – should this be "predating a2b"?
“One way is to use a GPS unit” - Missing FULL STOP?
Last paragraph:
“Well, yes and no, search engines like Google, know roughly where in the world you are, by looking up the gateways the data between you and them is travelling through.” – Seems to read as slightly muddled? Needs a little re-write maybe? “by looking up the gateways THAT the data travels through between you and them.” Or something?
“They then check through their own data for the physical location of each gateway. This method falls down when the data travel through a gateway” – missing S? “data travelS through a gateway”
“Another technique is to look for postal addresses on websites, though at the time of writing companies are choosing just to focus on American address’s.” - I think that should be addresses
Hope this helps a little!
