Hi Hypatia
Brilliant this week! Just spot on. Accurate and good reading. Well done
This stuff is my work (real work, not home stuff) and you've got the tone just right to get people to change their ways of gardening. It's the drip, drip of convincing individuals that they can make a difference to the world
One critisism I think your recipe should have been for bird cake, not for human consumption

Since I'm doing feeders next week, I thought I'd do a recipe for the birds then.
I'm glad you liked the article. This is an important topic. I hope some people read it (and the rest of the series) and are actually convinced to put some of the ideas into practice. But I have a feeling I'm preaching to the choir.

Keep the faith It's that drip, drip, drip thing. If your writing can put the germ of an idea into people's minds, which they later act upon, perhaps never realising that it was you who did it, then you've succeeded
That's my philosophy and I reckon it works. I don't rant (too much ) about the things I feel strongly about, because I reckon that puts people off. So I just burble on quietly about green issues and eventually it has an impact and somebody gets interested and asks my advice about how to start a veggie patch, or whether they can really make bread without kneading etc...
