English-speaking HHs travelling incognita (sans Babel) should note the following peculiar behaviour in Antwerp Bars -
TRIGGER -
The barman or passing acquaintance asks you if you would like a 'b********g'?
RESPONCE -
Coolly ascertain the demeaniour of your questioner and potential benefactor.
1. If you judge it to be of an extremely aggressive and threatening nature, grip your privates and run as fast as you can with your knees together.
2. Otherwise, grin broadly and respond "yes please" in whatever language comes to hand. The "bowlicken" is a pleasing glass gobblet used to serve the local beer.
Responding in a more physical way does have it's penalises. Unprovoked violence is universally frowned upon in this modern galaxy of ours - ie it is used as a good excuse for a punch-up.
