Surely anything that 'comedy' wise Vegas has been is dreary, unwatchable, and about as appealing as passing out your internal organs?

An in-joke, but not an unpardonably obscure one.
Dunno, I quite like Johnny Vegas. I don't think he's a great actor - though the Vegas persona itself is mostly performance, I suspect - but he does amuse me.

Dunno about the sloshed thing, but I think he genuinely is big.
He's not just a comedy drunk, anyway, there's a lot of pathos to the persona as well. And pottery. Dustin Hoffman is apparently a big fan.

Oh I agree, I just don't like the fake 'innocencent drunk' act, but I know him as the ITV digital guy.
