A Bell tolls, and with a cape and girdle were a part of 15, that may point to a calf on the head, and the others too.

This if it lasts will take guess work so there are very few traps

>A Bell Tolls<: an hour o'clock

>and with a cape and girdle<: a ritual, perhaps outdoors (cape), at that hour

>were a part of 15<: a group (a coven isn't necessarily 13)

>that may point to a calf on the head<: pointing at a specific ritual?

>and the others too<: No idea

I wish I could google for this poesy:

- Ok, first things first : can anyone explain what a girdle is, please?

- "15" made me think of rugby, but there aren't capes in rugby, are there? (and no bells that I know of either...)

- A calf could be the animal or the body part. That's the other thing that made me think of rugby, because sometimes in the game you end up with a big heap of players, and so very likely to find the calf of one player on the head of another... smiley - silly

- Also, is it relevant that "Bell" has a capital B? As in Graham Bell or something?

MMF - Keeper of Mustelids, with added P.M.A., is now in a relationship.

A girdle is akin to a belt. Often worn during the medieval period as a strip of leather tied at the side, and occasionally at the front. In the modern era it is more likely to be an elasticated or tied garment used to pull in the stomach.

A girdle is a belt, basically. John the Baptist wore a 'leathern girdle' over his goatskin coat, for example.

Does it have anything to do with Seafaring? Tolling the bell when crossing the equator? Ritals to do with the above? I know people traditionally get a dunking when they first cross the line.

smiley - erm

Yes, that'll do for now or else I'll be wasting a lot of time down t'wrong path!

eeep!

So, there's a *really* spurious connection somewhere in what I just said? Thanks for the DGI though, I needed that!

So, seafaring is a loose connection?

pebblederook-The old guy wearing surfer beads- what does he think he looks like?

Depending on how loose seafaring is might the Cape be Good Hope or Horn? And the girdle a voyage round the world?

Ah! Rounding the cape to complete the girdle.

The calf on the head? Hm...

I know that a man with a seagull on his head is called Cliff, but a man with a calf on his head?
