Sorry, but a point has to made again ...
Some people watch here for days, weeks, even months, before formally signing in. By then, they know how to post, to use site stuff like emoticons, links, what-ever. There was a thread about a year ago where many of the "old guard" admitted to entering in exactly that way.
Not everyone who appears with knowledge is a troll, a sock-puppet, or someone to be wary of.
Just a thought.

yes B that was my first thought hence me mentioning it in my journal
Nick I'm inclined to think it is a sock puppet simply because people who had been 'looking' would hardly jump into a journal that is about a specific person, as the title of said journal informs and start posting,when they don't even know that person

Okay, Cal. I just wondered. I have seen a small number of folks poorly tagged on arrival, just because they seemed to have knowledge of h2g2. ANd didn't stumble all over. Some wore the tag until they vanished, a couple had the inner-substance to stand up to it and carried on ...

Just my opinion
everyone else who has posted who doesn't know raven has stated that fact then sent their wishes, if this was someone who had been 'watching' out side of hootoo they would have seen the others do this and followed suit surely?
