smiley - doh The question was there in my brain, but somehow became garbled on the way to my fingertips. What I meant is are the online games still turnbased?

Also apologies for failing to read before my dungeon comment.

Just one thing about how you've stuck Crawl on - did you mean to make it bold and shouldn't it be one step in as a descendent of Rogue.

Z - I'm always one to nitpick and often forget to compliment. Fortunately Ekaterin doesn't seem to hold it against me.

Compliment time: I can't see any real reason why this whole lot isn't good enough for the edited guide ('cept possibly the Angband one, see that thread), but I'll have another read through them. C'mon you must get scouted sooner or later.

That was a good question! No, they're not (well, Mangband is as long as you're the only player on the level). I've taken Crossfire out because it's not really roguelike - it's not turn-based, it doesn't use ASCII graphics, and at least in the early stages, it doesn't seem to be set in a dungeon. I'd seen it mentioned in an article on roguelikes and not given enough thought to whether it should be considered one itself.

I have corrected Crawl's placement on the list. Yes, it should be bold, because it seems to be the most-played roguelike of those that don't have their own newsgroup (see rec.games.roguelike.misc).

smiley - sorry for taking a long time to reply owing to a severe attack of Real Life.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.

If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.

Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

Nitpick: I assume it's house style to italicise the names of the games? If so, they need to be italicised in the second paragraph (references to Angband, Mangband and Quake). There's also one reference to Rogue at the end that hasn't been italicised, plus the family tree (or was that intentional?)

That's an impressive collection of links you've added to the article smiley - biggrin
Ekaterin.

Thanks Ekaterin. The other references are now italicised, apart from the family tree, which looked a bit cluttered in italics. smiley - smiley
