  • Brief History

Bradford bulls started off life in 1907 and were know as Bradford Northern and played there games at Birch Lane in west bowling bradford
which was off bowling old road in 1908 but because the ground was deemed to small they then moved to there current home odsal stadium on rooley lane which was in use as the council refuse tip at the time bradford would sign a long lease on odsal before later buying the stadium . In June 2012 the Bradford bulls went into administration and came very close to becoming extinct this was due to them owing £196,000 PAYE tax forcing them to sell the ground to the R.F.L for a undisclosed sum paying the R.F.L rent for use of the ground that would secure the short term future but this would mean the bulls would run up a further bill of £250,000 VAT bill from the sale of the lease and a wage bill of £200,000 . They would also docked 6 points from the R.F.L for entering administration which meant that they would again fail to make the play offs The bulls called on the fans to help them raise the money the fans by pledging £100 pound ex bulls players would sell medals and memorabilia and pledge the money to the pledge fund Other super league clubs helped the bulls by donating the away fans *gate fee to the
pledge fund .The bulls went into administration for a second time in 2014 ok bulls was placed into administration during the take over from current board and the bulls docked six points for going into administration for the second time forcing any other would be investors to back out because of the threat that the points deduction would mean the bulls been relegated from the super league
