What kind of storms do you normally get, if you have to go down into the basement?

Sever thunderstorms often with tornado makeing ablitty come up often enough that plain thunderstorms don't really seem like a big deal.

Well, Lisey's Story is hotting up now and at half way through we're eventually getting to the point.


Knitting is coming along but with 14 rows to the pattern and a row taking 10-15mins to complete it's hard work .... I reckon if I get through 2 patterns per week it should be finished for the baby's arrival in December.

Are you expecting the baby to be a giant?

It's a shawl - the baby will be baby sized but the shawl will be bigger and more shawl sized - hence the 291 stitches.

291 stitches.

You intend the baby to be wrapped up in that shawl - round and round and round.

It's not that big .... it's 3 ply wool so very fine .... I'll send you a photo when I've finished.

Oh, great. (Bet you'll have forgotten by xmas).

How could I forget .... the baby is due at Christmas and we'll be all excited seeing who finishes first .... mummy cooking the baby or me knitting the shawl.

I didn't mean you'd forget the baby, silly, I meant you'd forget to send me a photo.

No I will take photos because I haven't knit anything like this in about 20 years and I have no photographic evidence of the last couple I did ..... so I'm keeping a record this time.


When I take the photos I'll remember to send one to you .... see ... I have a plan.
