Smile, The

The smile is one of the best things the human body is capable of, in fact it is debatably the second best thing you can do with your lips :-). Not only does it require only 17 face muscles (as opposed to the frown which requires about 125) it also stimulates joyous feelings not only in yourself but in others too... try staring at someone you know with a smile on your face, and see the reaction!
Also related to the smile is the laugh. The laugh is also a wonderful thing in that 500 belly laughs uses as much calories as 5 minutes jogging. However, a sad fact about laughing is that although a child laughs on average >500 times a day, the average adult laughs 17 times a day. Sorry folks, but it's true.
There are many other advantages of smiling. For example, if you are smiling you are happy, and if you are happy you are more likely to eat your food than if you are depressed, as depression can cause loss of appetite, and loss of appetite causes less eating, and less eating causes listlessness. Which is not a good thing.
