Your cats must not become pests in the morning then. I was a catsitter for six weeks on two separate occasions. This was an orange tiger cat with a really nice disposition (his name was Ginger, for obvious reasons), but behind the genial facade was a sense of mischief. When he was in his normal home, he would eat anything, but when he was chez moi, he became impossibly particular . He ultimately lived to be 20. The couple that owned him is no more. The husband died of liver cancer, and the wife works at Savers (a charity that accepts housewares as donations, then resells them), where she would not likely earn enough to afford mortgage payments. So, she probably doesn't live somewhere cat-friendly.
