"We've come on holiday by mistake!" from Withnail and I(makes me laugh whenever I think about it although there are many quotable lines throughout the film which is just as well really as nothing much happens!
The "tears in the rain" Soliloquy by the Rutger Huaer Character In Blade runner I'm sure that someone will send you the verbatim dialogue for your collection
"That's just the lemon next to the Pie".... it's going to get bigger! By Bear in Big Wednesday* looking out on a HUGE groundswell storming onto the beach in the moonlight(* the film that is to surfers what Easy Rider is to bikers. What no easy rider Quotes?)?
I saw a great Mae West one the other day , She's walking into some posh dinner with some Snobby matronly type and says " I was reading a book the other day" (at which older woman visibly staggers with shock,) "And it said that mechanisation will eventually take over in all the professions" at which older woman slowly stares her up and down over her spectacles and drily comments" I don't think that need worry you dear!"

I see you're online (not watching Colditz on TV!) at the moment, also that the Easy Rider quotes are now up , did you have to watch it again to get them or do you know them off by heart? How about "that'll be the day" drawled by John Wayne as Ethan Edwards in "The Searchers" and (trivia fans) quoted by Buddy Holly as his inspiration for the song of that name

Nope, not Colditz again, seen it about half a dozen times, I know they'll get away.
Hypoman gave me a 'site ref that I've been trolling thro most of the evening trying to check out references. It's fascinating!
Try http://www.us.imdb.com if you don't already know it. Trouble is it makes my little page rather redundant.
To tell the truth I couldn't think of any recognisable quotes from E.R.but I cribbed the ones on the page from the above.
Thanks for the Dukes quote, You've also just jogged my memory with that. He also said something like 'The hell you will' but I don't know which film it was. Back to the search..A.M.smiley - bigeyes

Ta, Yes I had been to IMDGB , very handy for solving disputes with the O.H while watching TV of the "Hey that's that guy who was in that film the other day" "no he wasn't in**** he was in*** etc." it even covers TV stuff , you can type in an actor's name and it tells you all the obscure sitcoms etc they have done. I didn't spot that it had Quotes on it though, I checked The Searchers , HERE is tyhe full quote

Reverend Clayton: You wanna quit Ethan?
Ethan: That'll be the day.

(you don't get the Buddy Holy Trivia though!!)

By the way , I have just found a new sport, Cruise the who's online at the moment thingy and when you see a high number (ie new member) hit their site and reply to the first thing they've (tentatively) written within minutes, Freaks them out! But also reassures them that people do read stuff... (he said trying to justify his sadistic tendencies) see

A-ha! (musical reference). So that's your game. I tried visiting all the 'newest' users to see what other debutantes first tentative steps were, and discovered than no-one had written anything yet (although when they all do, it will apparently be purple). Presumably 2am is not the busiest time on h2g2, but it's nice to know you're not alone (or are you a figment of my battered imagination? Can I have chips with that please.)
