The h2g2 Poem

No More Tears

I have wept with rage

And in frustration of being misunderstood.

I have howled for the moon - and I was never given it.

I have grizzled with pain - but that was when I was

Too young to know any better.

I have sobbed with misery, disappointment,

And frequently fear.

I have drowned my pillows in a pool of 'I wish'.

I didn't cry at my father's funeral.

He never liked seeing my tears.

Silly, really, he was the only man I ever knew

Worth shedding tears over.
