How I Met Your Mother

How I Met Your Mother is a romantic comedy television series aired on the American network CBS. The show follows the lives of 5 people living in New York City through their lives and relationships. The main character, architect, Ted (Josh Radnor) spends the entire first season of the show chasing after the girl of his dreams, a news show personality named Robin Scherbotsky (Cobie Smulders) who would just rather be friends. Along the way Ted gets egged on by his best friends Barney (Neil Patrick Harris), who is infamous for one night stands, and Marshall (Jason Segel) and his fiance Lilly (Alyson Hannigan), both of whom live with Ted. The show is narrated from the perspective of Ted telling his 2 kids (30 years later) about how he met their mother (thus the name).
